22ND NATIONAL EISTEDDFOD YOUNG PERFORMER AWARDS COMPETITION – QUARTER FINALS
After participating in the first round of the National Eisteddfod of South Africa’s Young Performer of the Year Competition earlier this year, Caitlin Jones (Gr.10) was selected as one of only twelve participants countrywide to compete in the quarter final round of the competition.
She competed in the category Speech and Drama (Gr.10 – 12) at the Roodepoort Theatre in March.
Caitlin received high praise for her Dramatised Prose performance from Anne of Green Gables and gained valuable experience competing on a national level.
The competition is open to all participants who received 90% or more in a local or national Eisteddfod in the previous year and she qualified for entry in three different categories.
