EQUESTRIAN
Kayla Oosthuysen (Gr. 12) has had a great year so far.
Earlier this year, she competed at the South African National Arabian Championships and won the title of SA National Arabian Champion Junior Rider – her second consecutive year claiming the honour.
More recently, she travelled across borders to compete at the Namibian Arabian Horse National Championships, where she won the title of Champion Senior Rider.
The international judge, Glenys Lilly (Australia), was highly complimentary of Kayla’s seat, hand and leg position. She also praised Kayla for completing the full required test on an Arabian stallion – a true testament to her dedication, skill and partnership with her horse.
