ST ANNE’S CUP CHALLENGE
Our Eunice 1st Team participated in the Cup Challenge tournament held at @stannesdiocesancollege in the Midlands.
In the pool games, we beat Noordheuwel 8-1 and St John’s 2-1.
The quarter final was a fierce battle against the Waterkloof team.
We were 0-3 down with only 17 minutes left on the clock, but the ladies fought back and scored an equalizer in the last 2 minutes, to draw 3 all.
The game then went to penalty shoot-outs where our Eunice team won 3-2!
In the semi-final against Menlopark, the match also ended in a tie with 0-0. The panelafg shoot-outs also ended in a tie and in the sudden death shoot-out, Menlo managed to grab the win 3-2.
This morning, our ladies played against St Mary’s Kloof for 3rd and 4th place and we took the bronze with a 4-0 win!
It was a special weekend as the following players received their 100 caps during the tournament.
