It’s a great day for athletics and for breaking records it seems!
In the u17 long jump event, the record was first matched then broken three times!
The old record was set at 4,52m and Ruvimbo Pasipamire matched it.
Bianca Rees-Gibs broke the record with a distance of 4,62m.
Jaydene Barnard then set a new record at 4,67m.
Anebel Venter smashed these records with a new record of 4,77m to take gold!
What makes this even more special is that all four ladies are representing STEEDMAN!
